Havaianas Moving Out Sale at Paseo de Sta. Rosa

Just a quick share because I have a bazillion things to do and I really really need to shower before anything else ~ omg it's awfully hot today :(

Check out Havaianas Outlet Store in Paseo de Sta. Rosa (Laguna) the soonest (sale is from Feb 1 to 28, 2013) because everything is 50% off . This is a moving out sale so a part of me is quite sad to see them go :( They are just a stone's throw away from my place and I will surely miss seeing them when passing by

but do check them out. and buy. I spotted a couple of glow-in-the-dark slippers for kids :)

Perfect Lip Shade Project: Nyx Matte in Merlot

Ready for another lippie review for my PLS project?

NYX Matte Lipstick in Merlot

This is my first NYX lippie by the way, and it didn't disappoint. In fact, this very lipstick encouraged me to explore NYX line some more - but I'm still hesitant to buy them online even if they are cheaper, maybe when I get to know more their colors, I would. I bought this from the same hidden stall where I bought my NYX matte lip cream for same price (300Php). I love wearing this, only my hubby doesn't approve. too red for him apparently, so I only get to wear this when I'm out with my friends. lol :D

Note its changing shades taken under different lighting conditions

According to NYX website:

NYX Matte Lipsticks are highly pigmented, richly formulated lipsticks that glide on smoothly, stay put and impart a non-glossy, high-fashion matte finish as they envelop lips in brilliant color. From Pure Red to Nude, Matte Lipstick is available in 22 rich, shades.

I can personally attest to its high pigmentation claim. Above photo of me shows just a swipe of freshly applied Merlot on my lips under super harsh sun (outdoors, around 2pm). It is buildable so you can go as bold as you like (that's probably just two swipes in my book. lol) It glides smoothly yes, as I didn't have to pull/tag it across my lips. Matte, check. Wide color range, check (which explains why swatching took almost two hours, making the hubby really really cranky. lol)

Anyway, I was quite amused when I took photos of this lippie yesterday under different lighting conditions (photos in the middle) The one on top is regular , indoor lighting (solid red) while middle one is outdoors (red-pink-coral). Bottom photo is indoors away from the light which surprisingly turned VIOLET. I now wonder if it also behaves as such on me, only I didn't notice? hmm.. interesting.

Anyway, real tube color, I would have to say, is the one on top. On lips, it is deep raspberry red (think wine red, deep grapey-red, but not plum-red) which really pops out and grabs attention. It's not as drying as NYX matte lip creams so I can safely say that you can skip lip balms on this one however I will not recommend skipping lip balms if your lips are naturally dry to begin with as it is a matte lipstick.

While I'm loving this color, this is too red for what I'm looking for so..

Random Tuesday: Skittles, Tokidoki Wallpaper, Kisses, Beauty Credit, Simsimi Nails And Some More Kisses :)

A trip to Subic will never be complete without chocolates and candies, methinks. My kids usually go on a chocolate and candy binge when in Subic and honestly, I don't mind since I indulge too. lol :) *bad mommy!*

Want some? :)

..I grew tired of my iTouch's wallpaper so I decided to look around the internet for a cutesy replacement. I was going for something kawaii, instead I found some Tokidoki wallpapers for iPhone (which is also suitable for iTouch) Oh my, how cute!! here below is my current wallpaper..

Tokidoki wallpaper for iTouch

I don't know about you but my ultimate comfort food would be chocolates. Hershey's Kisses to be exact.  :) They never fail to make me smile :)

..I was lucky enough to be reading Mommy Des' blog when she posted about Beauty Credit's store in Subic. Right in time too as we were just planning to go there the following week. Lo and behold, I found them (and the Korean store next to it that sells Lotte ice cream *divine*)

Now the sweetest deal would be their 70% off on some products (toner, emulsion etc) , they also have 50% off on cosmetics (eyeshadows, lippies etc) and 20% on BB creams and haircare products. Sweet!! :)

..I painted my nails yellow before we left for Subic, only I wasn't really pleased with the result. Klik nail polish's consistency is too thin that even on 3rd layer, it didn't do a good job on coloring my nails. Good thing we stopped by my sister's place and she let me use her perfectly good Skin Food nail polish in glittery pink (i think it was meant to be used on feet. lol) I painted half of my nails with it and we laughed so hard when we saw the end-result :D

Simsimi nails :D :D :D
..for some reason, my little boy loves to bite me. Take note, only me. My chin is his favorite part of my face to  sink his teeth into. It used to hurt then when he was younger but not anymore since he doesn't bite too hard now. I think he's more conscious now not to hurt mommy too much :)

La Senza Outlet Store At Paseo de Sta. Rosa

I'm not really sure if it's indeed a La Senza outlet store or if they are considered as one, all I know is that there are rows upon rows and drawers upon drawers of La Senza goodies from tame PJs to seduce-your-man sheer lingeries selling at 40, 50 and 70 % off. For me, that officially makes it an outlet store. lol.

The confusion starts here:

"Bench Depot"

So if I enter this store, I expect to see all things  Bench right? Well, not in this store. Lookiee:

La Senza

Charles and Keith

KidConnection
Celio
Mothercare
There were other known brands that I wasn't able to take pictures of as I was trying to be very discreet about the act. lol. I didn't want to call any unwanted attention so very sorry guys :( I pretended to be texting and finding a mobile phone signal just so I can take fairly good photos of the place. lol. Not that I was sure they would throw me out if found taking pictures but I was just trying to be on the safer side. I'll try to get some more pictures next time.

It's a one stop shop in there, seeing all those popular brands side by side selling at awesome discounted prices! I say, best to start your Christmas shopping here! There's definitely something for everybody, even for the baby! :)

Note, this store is somewhat hidden, I discovered it by accident actually. If you'll come from the front (if you see Starbucks, Pancake House, Adidas, etc, then you're in front), you have to walk a little further going in (arrow straight) then cross a two-lane street until you find the garden-slash-park as it is somewhat in the middle - the center being the roundish, open air garden. From there, turn your head to your right. If you somehow end up out back where The Beauty Bar, Payless, Nike are located, walk a little going in, no more than 20 big steps until you find the garden then face left. You'll be able to spot it from there.

Paseo de Sta. Rosa is a commercial and lifestyle center located at Laguna Boulevard, Santa Rosa, Laguna, Philippines. Map here. Website here. Major Brands/Institutions: Nike Factory Outlet, Nike Park Outlet, Marks & Spencer Outlet, Debenhams Outlet Store, Mizuno, Nine West, Gap & Banana Republic Outlet, Aerosoles, Payless, Speedo, Adidas, All Flipflops, Crocs, G-Force, Rudy Project, Bench Depot, Levi’s, CafĂ© Breton, Starbucks, Kanin Club, The Old Spaghetti House, Pancake House, Jollibee, Chowking, Greenwich Pizza, Shakey’s, Racks, Razon’s, Ryuma, Yellow Cab, Mecury Drugstore, National Bookstore, Ateneo Graduate School of Business

It's worth a visit especially if you are on your way to Tagaytay (30mins from Paseo de Sta. Rosa) Enchanted Kingdom is about 10minutes away sans traffic. lol. :)

Cheers! :)
